So You need to do betteR. NOW.

    Seriously.

    We know you err on the side of journalistic neutrality. And that you’re not paid for bold thinking.
    “Just the facts, ma’am.”

    But you’ll never get another click or payment from me.

  • EVERY DAY, a feature section on resistance: cover all the things being done to resist anti-democracy government overreach.

    • Interview Heather Cox Richardson, Jess Craven.

    • Feature those behind Leaving Maga and Indivisible.

    • You’re leaving journalistic money on the table, as Americans thirst for how to save the country (that you’re betraying with your banality).

  • SOLVE THE “ALTERNATE REALITIES” PROBLEM!

    • EVERY WEEK, do a roundup of other news outlets’ lies and distortions, with the receipts.

    • Make it easier for us to talk back to our neighbors!

    • (Protect your asses, for Pete’s sake!)

  • Cover protests as if millions of people were taking part. THEY ARE.

    • Enough with nice photos of signs.
      Give us organizer statements and attendee counts!

    • Get response statements from the despots.
      And then expose these as lies.

  • Keep a prominent tally, with status, of lawsuits protecting Americans from illegal executive orders; update every day.

    • Ask experts when the Executive branch can be jailed for defying court orders.

    • Tell us what you find out!

  • Amplify the important voices of Crockett, Klobuchar, Booker, Raskin, Van Hollen, Warren.
    Cover every AOC/Bernie Sanders rally.
    Report on what they said!

    • Interview them! (Duh!).

  • Boldly pursue interviews with cowardly legislators of both parties who don’t protect their constituents.

    • Ask them why.

    • Be prepared to counter their prevarications.

    • Hold them accountable!

  • Go to LeavingMaga.org.
    Do what they’re doing, for heaven’s sake.

    • Why are you so lacking in creativity?

  • Publish features of protest organizers & historians in and beyond the US. Help them teach us.

  • Interview your journalist colleagues in other nations.

    • Feature how they outmaneuvered repressive attacks on free press.

    • Then do what they did!

  • Train your reporters how to talk back to hostile press conference pols.
    Hire mean girls to teach them how to burn back.

  • Stop saying “gerrymander”.
    Cut it out!
    Always say “voting district corruption”.

  • Do a well-documented comparison:
    Trump crime family vs. Biden crime family.
    Once and for all, settle the score.
    Call out other news outlets’ lies in your source footnotes.

  • More than anything, realize that each day you play it mild, you’ve lost power you had yesterday.
